WEREWOLVES!In ffera, werewolves are one and the same as kelpies. They don’t actually become wolf-like, but a parasitic virus that infects the host in a way that i won’t ramble about right now, causes the host’s body to mutate when threatened, or once roughly monthly to discharge magic buildup. The idea that they are wolves is down to the fferans who witness them, hence why many also conclude that they become horses, and some also conclude that they are rat-people. Hair is maintained upon turning, and although a light furry peach-fuzz is developed when the individual turns, no actual substantial hair or fur is grown. This means that werewolves are relatively easy to identify should you be able to recognize the individual. Hair style and quality, scars, body injuries and tattoos are all carried over into their mutated form.Their disposition when mutated is aggressive, possessive of loved ones, and constantly destructive, much like bored dogs. Werewolfism starts in infants, appearing at the age of one or two, and while a tiny terror chewing at your hands (it cannot be passed by bites, only through reproduction) might be adorable if not unsettling, tantrums need to be controlled at an early age. While their dispositions when young is more playful, much like the boisterousness of young primates, it can become overwhelming, and will eventually become aggressive into the teenage years. -- source link
