peachymagazine:How to Feel Better Each DayWritten by Emma, Photography by IsabellaLife gets hard, and sometimes I wish there was a way to pause it and go back in time to when I was happier but unfortunately life doesn’t work like that so I have to figure out other ways to deal with it. Small changes in your everyday life can add up to big improvements over time, simple things, that don’t even require a huge lifestyle change.Read MoreAnything you can get your hands on. Read all the books on your shelves. Go to your public library and spend a couple hours looking for one. Read magazines and graphic novels. Read online magazines!! It will give you a new perspective on your problems, and you will see that if the protagonist in a story can make it through anything, so can you. In a few years, you won’t even remember the math test you’ve been worrying about all week, or the cute guy who used to sit across from you.Get Enough SleepEven on the weekends. Put on your fuzzy pyjamas and curl up. It’s okay to stay up late if you’re with friends but make it a general rule to stick to the same sleeping schedule. You will thank yourself for it after waking up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day.Stay CleanTaking showers and baths are an important part of staying healthy. Also they give you time to think, all by yourself, without any other distractions. They are a great place to practice your singing skills and you might even get inspiration for writing an entire book series.Make ArtWhether your way of making art is playing the trumpet, painting detailed scenery, writing poetry, or capturing the perfect breakfast with your camera, keep making art. Make good art and bad art and everything in between. Don’t get upset when you don’t master it right away, everyone starts from somewhere, and everyone’s journey is unique. Share your art with the world or no-one at all.Tell Yourself:That you are good enough, that you are beautiful, that you are smart, and that you are kind. Tell yourself that you are art, that you deserve to be happy, that you’re allowed to be sad, and that things will get better, because they will. -- source link
