Wizards, Magic and the ArmaIn Ffera, Wizardry is a practice that takes advantage of an abundant matter called Magusficium (magic). Ager and human both are incredibly adept at the use of magic, due to having physiology that is resilient to the wear and tear that the practice causes. Every being in ffera has a sort of magical organ that doesn’t quite exist on the physical plane. It is not observable unless special conditions are placed upon the observer, allowing them to see past the first “sheet” of reality. This organ is called the Arma, and is used in the practice of wizardry. Wizards pull magusficium down from their arma, and cast it into the physical realm. Magic, being a highly prone to suggestive manipulation, picks its intent up through thought, and then creates the outcome. While fferans of all species are yet to discover what the arma is precisely for (it is “made” for the practice of wizardry as much as our bodies are “made” for karate- it is only the utilization of our body as it already exists) many theories circulate the numerous studies and books, published by the most prominent wizards and ficiologists. One of the most prominent and popular authors on biology relating to magic and the diverse abundance of sapient species, is a kin of wiro named Winona Wicken. She proposes that the arma is a powerhouse for the body, that it is where fferans partly draw energy to move, talk, walk and think, and wizardry is the act of using the residual magical energy to cause outcomes.Due to ffera being set in a time pre-modern science, this idea is fundamentally flawed, but she, and other wizards, are on generally the right track to discovering it’s true purpose.I hope some day to write a couple of her books, and give those interested the chance to read the text books that aspiring fferan wizards, scientists and ficiologists read whilst in university. I just like that kinda content, ya know? -- source link
