Sapphic moodboard : The sorceress and the shieldmaidenAU in which Lagertha never invaded Kattegat and raised Hedeby to be a great kingdom and where Harbard never came back and instead, Aslaug embraces her magic and uses it to weave victory and loss. She watches over Lagertha, weaves her a shirt of protection and uses her magic to grant her victory. Lagertha discovers she has been beaten by Ragnar and decides to confront him about that because she understands that Aslaug cannot defend herself as well as she can. Aslaug sometimes goes on Vacation to Hedeby with her sons who are more than happy to play with their big brother. When Ragnar goes away, Aslaug rules his kingdom and listens to Lagertha’s advices regarding fortifications.
