This directly refutes the claim made by independent news outlet “Renewsit”, which claimed to have spoken directly to their lawyer regarding the lack of approval, complete with a link to a news site that is irrelevant to the topic at hand. The lawyer, Benjamin Crump, confirmed that the funds were directly going to the family. The online Rice family donation system was legitimate, and went to the family.Further, the remaining allegations made in the storify article were addressed by Shaun King in a lengthy post on his website.NOT A CON MAN.
