Hearts for Art is a project started by the Oakland Museum of California and the Columbus Museum of Art. The project has grown over the last three years and this year, along with museums across the country, the Brooklyn Museum was invited to participate. We jumped at the chance. The idea is simple. When you visit the museum on Valentine’s Day, you get a paper heart. During your visit, you’re invited to place your heart on the floor beneath a work of art you love. That’s it. You can also post your favorites on social media using the hashtags #brooklynmuseum and #heartsforart. We hope that you’ll have fun searching our collection for artworks that move you. We can’t wait to find out which ones you’ll choose.Posted by Holly Harmon -- source link
