Earlier this year, Said* and his wife Marsinah* from Indonesia received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. After spending some time learning as much as they could about their new faith, they reached out to their son, Ridho*.They talked to him about Jesus. In a matter of months, he also gave his life to Jesus and was baptized. He, in turn, started to talk about the love of Jesus to his wife, in hopes she might come to know Jesus too.But to Ridho’s unfortunate surprise, his wife became angry and refused to believe. And she filed for a divorce. Ridho was not prepared for the rejection. As a result, he became sad and depressed to the point that he had to be admitted to a psychiatric hospital. Some of their neighbors tried to persuade them to admit that they have to return to Islam, for the sake of their lives and safety, but they refused, saying, “We will continue to proclaim Jesus, even though we will be banished!”Pray for them to stay strong and faithful to Christ. Pray for God to give them wisdom on how to face persecution from their intolerant neighbors. Pray for perseverance to cope with the pressures and challenges of being Christians in their hostile village.* names changed for security reasons -- source link
