moonlightsdreaming: This is why the Black Moon arc is so meaningful to me, because Usagi doesn’t just start out as a badass, she has to work to get there, but that’s the point of so much of the shit that happens to her, I think. That was the point of isolating her and crumbling her emotional support away from her–to show that, when it came down to it, give her some time and she’ll grow stronger, she’ll find the strength inside her to be able to stand up again. And I can see such a difference here, from the Usagi who started out in the series. The journey was a long one, but it was all the more meaningful to me, that she stumbled along the way, that it truly was a journey, rather than a one time instance that she immediately grew from. Seeing Usagi get stronger means the world to me, as someone who doesn’t always have a lot of emotional strength, seeing her take awhile to get there makes me feel like it’s okay if I take awhile to get there, too.But Usagi can do it and LOOK AT HER, SHE’S SO MUCH EMOTIONALLY STRONGER NOW, she’s just READY TO FUCKIN’ GO, BECAUSE THIS IS HER DUTY AND SHE’S READY FOR IT. -- source link
