yolo-are-avi-atum:Grammatica hodierna – Irregular Declension Chart: VīsBene.Genitive singular vīs and dative singular vī also appear, although they are rare (secunda A&G) and their use was avoided (secunda OLD).Vīs, in the singular, is the only nominal ī-stem in Latin. The plural forms were created by reanalyzing the nominative singular vīs as the stem, making the s become r between two vowels like in mūs, plural mūrēs (something similar is seen in the change from spēs to the irregular plural form spērēs), and then inflecting that as an i-stem: Vīs-ēs to vīrēs, vīs-ium to vīrium, etc. (secunda Sihler, NCGGL). A nominative and accusative plural form vīs also appears. -- source link
