deaneslist: All About Aragaki Yui Translated Q&A (clockwise starting from upper left) Q: Favorite word? A: “Suki” (Like) “The word ‘like,’ I like saying it and I like having it said to me. I didn’t used to tell my family or friends that I liked them, but recently, I’ve been able to say it more often. Q: What is the first thing you do when you wake up? A: Open the curtains and give my dog some food. Q: What do you think is the difference between “ai” and “koi”? (Both words mean “love” but “ai” is an affectionate love while “koi” is more passionate.) A: Honestly, I don’t know the difference between the two yet. If I’ve only been shown affectionate love, then maybe I don’t know what true passionate love is yet. Obviously, you’re hoping for your partner’s happiness from the bottom of your heart, but in terms of true feelings, I think they’re more like, “If there’s a chance, I would like us to be as happy together.” (laughs) Q: If you were to have children, what kind of mother would you like to be? A: I don’t have any aspirations to be a so-called “friendly mother.” To be asked, “Are you siblings?” or told, “You look like best friends.” I understand that it makes you look younger but being able to talk to one another like best friends or going shopping together isn’t really my goal. I guess it’s called a “motherly sense.” Women who are able to be real mothers, those are the women I admire. Q: Do you have any marriage hopes? A: Yes!! Q: What is the focal point of your interior design? A: A big sofa! Basically, this large sofa is the main focal point of my place. It’s so big that three people can sleep on it like a bed. I’m often rolling around on top of it with my dog. Q: What is your favorite book? A: Right now, it’s “Uchu Kyoudai.” I have all the volumes. Q: Where would you like to go? A: Hawaii! I’ve been there twice for work, but next time, I’d like to go privately. Basically, I’m the type of person who, on a day with good weather likes to open the windows and just roll around inside. I’d like to relax overseas as well. Q: Where do you normally do your shopping? A: Shibuya, Harajuku, I think. Recently, I made my debut at backstreet shops. (laughs) Up until now, Shibuya and Harajuku were the main places I would sort of walk around and shop, but recently, I’ve been searching for furniture and thus made my way to the backstreet shops. See, I’m an adult, right? Q: What did you buy this spring? A: For me, it’s pretty rare, but I went and bought a blouse. Q: Do you believe clothing possesses power? A: Absolutely! When you wear a suit or a jacket, your back line gets longer. When you wear certain clothes, your attitude changes, so I definitely think there’s power in how you dress. In the past, whether I’m portraying a high school student (2010’s Hanamizuki) or an office person, I believe that clothing definitely helped. Q: Tell us a dream you recently saw! A: A dream about ghosts/sprits. From a long time ago, whenever I go to sleep, I leave the door open just a little bit. So in my dream, the door is cracked open a little bit and a ghost is standing there and slowly drifts toward my bed. I got scared so I said, “Please stop!” and it disappeared. (laughs) Instead of a ghost, it’s probably my dog who sneaks in and jumps onto the bed. Even still, it’s scary! Q: What’s the best thing you can cook? A: Miso soup! Q: What is your favorite color? A: Any color that matches me. My favorite color is the one that matches me at that moment. There’s some sort of reason why that color is matching you at that moment. Q: What is your most skilled sport? A: Swimming, but rather than saying I’m skilled at it, I like it. -- source link
