Found my mum’s notes from my first ever Dungeons and Dragons game. My parents have been playing D&D since they were at university in the 80s, and they introduced me to it in 2001, when I was seven! My dad writes our dungeons, and we play a slightly hybrid version of Second Edition D&D.This particular game was a trial run to see whether or not it scarred me for life, but by the time I was eight I was shouting “Kill them, kill them all!” while slashing my way through a room full of goblins. Apparently dungeoning is in my genes!Unfortunately the pencil’s rather faded, but the notes read:‘Dec 2001Emily’s 1st Ever DungeonThe Basenese Tales - Ch 1March 1st 998abLand is v. poor - Adiscott - Market town near coast - 80 houses, ruined castle, temple of Felthu, market place, 3 Inns, 3 Taverns, 2 Butchers, Slaughter house, Tannery, 4 shoe makers, blacksmiths, chandlery, printer, jeweller, physician, 2 barber shops, 2 carpenters’ workshops, potter’tl;dr: My parents got me into Dungeons and Dragons VERY young! -- source link
