sassygraceffa: “And it upsets me that as I record this video #wewillalwayssupportyoujustin is trending on twitter. I wish all the people who were tweeting that right now would be forced to send a tweet to explain to Katie’s family in 140 characters or less why they would quote always support someone who would do something as fundamentally selfish as driving drunk.” - Josh Sundquist This is so, SO important. I don’t care how much you like Justin Bieber’s music, what he did this time wasn’t throwing eggs at a neighbor’s house or peeing in a bucket. He drove while intoxicated on drugs and alcohol. 9, 865 people were killed in the U.S. in drunk driving accidents last year. Justin Bieber was driving erratically enough that the police saw fit to pull him over. He could have very easily killed himself or someone else, or maybe several someone elses. Even if you’re the kind of rabidly beyond reason fangirl who would make excuses if he *had* killed someone (and he very easily could have), think about the fact that maybe he wouldn’t even be around for you to make a stupid hashtag about supporting him if things had played out differently. Your precious Justin could have been dead at nineteen from his own careless, selfish stupidity and even if you don’t care about the other people he could have hurt, be aware that he could have easily hurt or killed himself. So think for a minute before you say you’ll “always” support someone who makes choices like drinking, doing drugs, and then getting behind the wheel of a car. I don’t care how much you like his music, you need to acknowledge and understand that DRINKING AND DRIVING IS BAD AND WRONG. Jesus, people. You are the reason people hate teenage girls. -- source link
