oddismycopilot:Retired library books. Weeding library collections is such a fraught subject: Both sad and necessary. (After all, what’s more fun than looking at the New Books display when you go the library?) Rather than calling this treasure acquired at a library book sale a “discard” or “surplus,” I prefer to think of it as a “library retiree” to whom I am providing a loving home in its sunset years.
