everywitchway: A spell (the writing below itself is the spell) for those eager for a certain company to release another game for a certain series at a certain entertainment conference tomorrow In this incredibly colorful and downright adorable game, there’s no such THING as bad news! Feel needed, and fulfill the requests of your furry little neighbors. You’ll actually be thanked! Every time! Make friends with a variety of villagers, and you know what? If someone you don’t like moves in, or someone you did like moves away, you can correct it with amiibo cards! Forget about your town for half a decade and find your device jammed between your bed and the wall while moving? Your town will still be there! You may have lost a person or two, and your town is full of weeds, but weeding gains you rare furniture, and that many weeds lets you see rare (stinky) flora and buzzing fauna, and like I said before, you can fix anything with amiibo cards! Build a virtual town, and see real change in a virtual town as your money enters the economy, and revitalizes a town! Worst comes to worst, you either have cockroaches (yay, a fun stomping game! They make little rainbow ghosts and it’s the most adorable murder you’ve ever seen!) or you forgot to save (though you can choose to not have resetting now, and if you do get him, you get to see where he lives in exchange for him yelling at you! (Win win!) Now, it may seem easy to try to settle for less, and to accept these last few releases as enough, but there’s no way! Nintendo’s been learning and growing with Animal crossing. In the last 2.5 releases, they’ve made the game more racially diverse, made customization far easier than it ever was before, and introduced incredible new characters, settings, and mechanics! Even if you didn’t love Happy Home Designer, I DO know you loved how much easier and more realistic setting up furniture was. And rugs? And ceiling hangings? Imagine! Just IMAGINE how that mechanic could be utilized in future games! They could get even more diverse and inclusive! Imagine your character, able to be called by your preferred pronouns! Being able to have natural, curly black hair? Being able to change your gender in game, or even better, that and having more gender options! They’ve already progressed a bit, allowing boys to wear girl clothes, and girls to wear boy clothes. The amount they could do for the LGBT+ community is incredible! And imagine what they could do if they included vehicles?? (They already have included them as furniture recently….) Or allowed a character to use a wheelchair or crutches? Imagine, a POV camera, or a way you could take a selfie with a favorite villager? Some of that may be a little bit above and beyond, just speculating, but… THERE IS SO MUCH MORE ANIMAL CROSSING COULD BE! Don’t give up on it! (The writing itself was the spell! If you agree, or want to add on, reblog! Help raise this “love of animal crossing” energy, and raise your hopes for tomorrow at E3! Even if we end up disappointed, who knows, maybe someone new will play animal crossing because of this post? And isn’t that a win itself?) (Sorry not sorry I love Animal Crossing a lot) (Also the image is from twitter user @SunnyKeel ) -- source link
