hardforthebard:HARD FOR THE BARD’S 1,000 FOLLOWER GIVEAWAY EXTRAVAGANZA!!Hello everyone! In celebration of reaching 1,000 followers, to thank all of you, I’m doing a pretty awesome giveaway! Here’s a list of the items I’m giving away (pictured above):One (1) copy of The Oxford Shakespeare Complete Works, Second Edition! This is the edition that I use the most. I love it. I consider it the ultimate anthology of the complete works, and to me it’s the most comprehensive and accurate edition (other than the folios/quartos).It also establishes the historically accurate order in which the plays were written. it contains numerous footnotes and introductions, as well as a number of supplementary materials, primary and secondary sources, an index of Shakespeare characters, a glossary, and an amazing essay on language. One (1) copy of David & Ben Crystal’s Shakespeare’s Words: A Glossary & Language Companion! This book is fucking amazing. For any Shakespeare nerd (scholar), it’s essential. Those of you who have been part of this fandom for a while know about the Crystals. Ben and David Crystal are fucking incredible. They’re some of my favorite scholars. This is not just a lexicon. It’s a complete glossary for over 14,000 of Shakespeare’s words – essentially, any word that might be misunderstood or misconstrued is included. It also has some standout panels that detail certain types of words – from Shakespearean swears to the breakdowns of thou, thee, and thy.Lastly, it has these WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL venn diagrams that visually describe the relationships between the characters in all of Shakespeare’s plays. One (1) copy of the Shakespeare Plus app!Take the Bard’s works everywhere with you, with the Shakespeare Plus app. I use this all the time. I have it on my iPad and my iPhone. As far as I know, it’s available for Apple and Android devices, and I’ll provide it on any platform you like! This contains all of Shakespeare’s works, including all of the sonnets and all of his full-length poems. It also contains a lexicon, as well as a daily Shakespeare quote. You can also search the entirety of the canon, for when you want to prove to your friends that the “quote” they’re spouting isn’t Shakespeare. ;)One (1) set of Shakespeare insult magnets! From “There is not ugly a fiend of hell as thou shalt be,” to “Out of my sight! Thou dost infect my eyes,” you’ll be all set for when you wanna insult your roommate via the fridge. One (1) “Shakespeare A-Z” t-shirt!From A for Antony all the way up to Z for …just Shakespeare writing the letter Z, dress in style with Shakespeare all over ya!(I’ll get you whatever size you want.)A smattering of assorted Shakespeare kitsch.I’ll just send you a bunch of silly little stuff! It’ll be awesome!I love giving back to you guys for all your support, and I’m looking forward to this!Just a couple rules to keep in mind:You must be following me.
