penaltywaltz:So my mother saw her optometrist today and finally got a new prescription, because they had to wait until chemo had been done for at least a month so they could see how it had affected her eyes. The doctor said she should get prescription sunglasses as well for when she drove during the day because her vision deteriorated during cancer treatment. However, as I will be needing glasses myself in less than two weeks, we thought clip-on sunglasses would be better for her.Now, her eyesight had been not-so-great before the chemo (she’s been needing glasses for a while), but she’s the only one in the immediate family who drives and being on the road with her lately has gotten kind of scary, and it’s even scarier when my son is in the car with us. So these glasses are a big deal. The above is just the cost of frames, lenses and clip-on (she wanted something that would give her a “sexy boobless librarian” look and I’ll admit, I want the same frames) and Zenni Optical is saying shipping ranges from $4.95 to $18.95 depending on how soon we want them.Anyone who can help, I have PayPal and Ko-Fi. I also offer fic commission for anything like this, and if you cover the cost of the glasses and shipping completely I’ll write you a 25K word fic for it. I would greatly appreciate help getting these (because mine can wait if I need to, but hers can’t) and reblogging would be wonderful.
