Here are three great issues of Amazing Stories with cover illustrations by Leopoldo Raul Morey y Pena (Leo Morey). Morey was born in Pummagos, Peru in 1899. While he always wanted to be an artist, his father disapproved, so he studied abroad in the US to be an engineer instead. However, by the early 1900′s he had begun illustrating as a side job, and by the 1930′s he was making cover art for numerous pulps including: Amazing Stories, Astounding, Secret Agent-X, Short Stories, Terror Tales, Thrilling Detective, Thrilling Mystery, Western Aces, Wild West Stories and Complete Novel magazine. Morey was one of the few pre-war pulp illustrators to continue working during World War II; post war he continued doing cover and interior work for pulps as well as drawing comics for various publishing houses. He worked up until his death in 1965, and is best known for his fantastic illustrated interpretations of science fiction stories. Enjoy!Amazing Stories. Vol.5, No.3. June 1930. New York.
