cosplayinamerica:I am a big fan of Wonder Woman but I wanted to create a cosplay that reflected my Hispanic heritage. I looked at many Mexican baile folklórico traditional dresses for ideas. Once I had an idea for the design, I contacted a friend that lives in Tijuana Mexico who runs a sewing business CostuExpress (costu-express@hotmail.com)The costume was delivered to be prior to San Diego Comic Con. My daughter who loves makeup wanted to do my make up and helped me with hair. I have a black long haired wig that I thought would be perfect for braids and creating an updo. I went to Walmart to buy flowers to place in my hair like a Frida Kahlo inspired crown. Frida Kahlo is my favorite artist. I wanted lots of colors so I went with red, yellow and gold artificial flowers.I am an elementary school teacher and I love cosplaying characters I love and adding my own twist to reflect me. In the past, I have dressed up many times as Wonder Woman so I have a tiara and the armbands which I used in my current version of her.— https://www.instagram.com/the_golden_lasso_teacher/Photo: https://www.instagram.com/erik_arreaga_art/ -- source link
