Are feet that gendered? Genuine question, I’m not an anatomist, I don’t know.)Pretty sure calling it a boy is bullshit, given how hard it is to tell biological sex from prepubescent skeletons, let alone footprints.  I guess with adults they can get more information from things like stride length and estimated hip-width and make semi-educated guesses from there?  About half the articles on the finding I’m seeing just say “child,” and the prehistorian credited with the statement is French, so “boy” may also be an inaccurate translation. -- source link
