Over the past decade my “photography” has been a deep dive into how to make photos that feel and behave like paintings. I want to make work that has roots in Joan Mitchell paint handling, work that has the atmosphere of a Rothko, the speed of a Japanese brush painting. I know I’m in a state of flow when I start to dream in my work.
