There’s a big push in the child development community to teach all babies a form of native sign language to help them communicate earlier. Having a non-verbal form of communication is really beneficial to infants and toddlers who can’t verbally express their emotions yet, especially neurodivergent children. It’s good for parents of hearing children to verbalize the word while they sign it and just encorporate it into your general interactions with the baby.
