My very kind neighbor brought me a shocking amount of pears from his trees yesterday. So even though I hadn’t planned to do any big canning projects this year I just couldn’t let them go to waste. I got 11 quarts so far and today I’m going to make pear jelly, and I’ll start some cooking in the Crock-Pot for pear sauce and pear butter. This is a welcome addition to my canning shelves and I’m so greatful for the kindness of my neighbors.
