I live for Sunday mornings like this - the house is quiet and empty. The sun is not harsh, its rays are shielded away by the cloud cover. I pull out my wooden placement board and start the kettle, it begins its quiet hum. I open the fridge to see what would give a savoury boost to the soft Brie that I bought - score! There’s leftover Baker&Cook spicy pepper dip (aubergines, tomatoes, bell peppers, & spices) I fish out 3 wholemeal thin flats - it will be the vessel carrying my precious cheese and dip. The edibles are set up nicely on the board. The water in the kettle rumbles, it is done. I pick up my Chasen and Matcha. A few seconds later, I am whisking away, creating that dense lovely light foam for my morning beverage. It feels almost second nature to be whisking Matcha - the foam forms softly, easily. The reds, pale yellows and creamy greens look wonderful together - this warrants a group shot! & after I put my camera away, I tuck into the thins. I spend the next 10mins building my own irregular rhythm of spreading dip, cutting cheese, breaking the thins and sipping Matcha. It is all quiet around me. It is a wonderful way to start the day - I wish gentle serene mornings upon everyone I love. -- source link
