Three-cornered stone (San Juan de la Maguana [?], Dominican Republic,13th – 15th century). Approximately 17.1cmhigh.According to the Spanish, these portable sculptures, known astrigonolitos, had a connection to yucca or cassava, a stapleroot crop in the Caribbean. They came in various sizes, some beingquite heavy, and had both anthropomorphic and zoomorphic imagery. Most have been found in the Greater Antilles, but examples have beenfound as far south as the Grenadines. -- source link
