Animation art and a few stills from French-Japanese sci-fi cartoon, ULYSSES 31 (1981). “Greek mythology in space”, basically.I used to catch reruns on school mornings, and the show really intrigued me somehow. I wanted to make something just like that, but no matter how I tried—Roman Gods on Mars, Egyptian mythological creatures in space—I felt I couldn’t top it (I was a perfectionist kid). I’ve always remembered that eerie shot of the Odyssey crew hovering in the air—a floating graveyard. I hadn’t seen it since, until I found the above image just now.Anyway, one of those unlikely shows that inspired me as a kid. Watch the intro on YouTube, it’s worth it. -- source link
