gutsygumshoe:LISIA WIG MINI TUTORIAL:I had a lot of people asking so I figured I’d make a post about it.1) I stiffened some felt with a mixture of one part school glue and one part water, then used this to make my 3D shape. I glued this together and filled this with stuffing!2) START LAYING WEFTS (rest in pieces). For this I was using ardawigs short wefts in Mint, and gluing them down with tacky glue (and occasionally hot glue where the tacky glue was being difficult. If you use a hair dryer while gluing it works much better/faster!). Just get as much coverage as you can, and use extra hair that you cut off need be (I needed to since I only had a pack of short wefts and a pack of long, and using short wefts is best for this part)3) Make sure you have the felt completely covered before you move on to the final layer!4) For the final layer, I took Arda long wefts and made it how I thought the hair would flow if it was a real ponytail. Do this to all the sides! I cheated and didn’t do the bottom because it was 2 AM the night before the con when I finished ¾ *sweats*4) Take a ponytail wig (I used Arda’s Jeannine in Mint, but I recommend using Jasmine so you have the long hair in the front. I just felt safer having a pony clip as backup! To make the long bangs I just added some long wefts to the front) and stub it (not pictured but there’s lots of tutorials for that out there. I attached this with some help from my boyfriend, but I closed the opening of the felt except for a hole big enough for the ponytail, practically poured hot glue on it, and tada! This does leave a seam, however, so you have to cover it up somehow (I used the same fluff I used for my cosplay)I believe that’s everything! Let me know if you have questions ✨ -- source link
