THE FUTURE OF CIVILIZATION AFTER COVID-19 Retiring Vampire Column, Sep 4 We inherited a world that belongs to the right families, to a leadership passed from father to son. To terms like old money, royal families, and banks. “If the father had the power of intelligence,” the future asks, “who said that a son would also have?” Here is where we come in on a magic carpet. After four years of chaos and humor on the train of nightmares that is Donald Trump’s term in office, Biden’s sober and systematic decision-making process carries a solemn message of its own. He reminds those who have forgotten that this is how a fit leader should behave. But why do people need a fit leader? Why can’t people be their own leaders? This and more is the future of civilization after COVID-19. The most primitive virus to crush Bill Gates’s PC was to flood it with information. And so it happens, too many stories passing around till we know nothing. Suddenly, It is not clear who we are winning. Suddenly, Charlie Sheen is the only winner. Suddenly, the leadership’s concept of “winning for the people” is weak. There’s no such victory when we lose two generations in 12 years for COVID-19 and the 08 recession. We don’t need them to win; we need them to work, work for the people. Nobody is so proud of defeating half of their country when they starve. We don’t want a Leader - We want a Guardian - Is what I catch in the infusion of all the protests’ chants. Right and Left. Worldwide. Children with less wealth than their parents are a lousy meal to open up the century, even for a Retiring Vampire. To come out of this disadvantage, we must walk in two parallel dimensions: The “practical plane” and the “spiritual plane.” To start with the latter. Suppose we pay attention to tectonic changes in economics, government, and changing industries and try to understand the future to come. In that case, this is a recipe for a short-term vision. To see the process beyond the purpose, one must fathom the creative console the next generation inherits from us. “Surfing is like riding a magic carpet.” Said my friend Don Jons from Santa Teresa.
