snorke:Just something about this that makes me like it It’s four thirty in the afternoon and student teacher Melissa Andersen is doing corner time, waiting for the principal, Elizabeth Mitchell to “talk” to her.The school board had abandoned corporal punishment for the students of the district, but {for some reason] retained (or failed to eliminate) the practice for use on the student teachers employed there. So when Melissa failed to correct her persistent tardiness and procrastination in handing in her required “study coverage itinerary” with up to date, marked paper work, principal Mitchell decided to enforce the “student” part of Melissa’s title and give her *incentive* to bring her into line. Not only was Melissa treated as if she was a wayward student, and paddled, she was given a note for her parent [mother] to sign.Did the principal know that *the rule* “punished in school - Punished at home” as well, was very much in affect at Ms. Andersen’s house?Save for fact that her spankings at home were not given over a skirt covered bottom, as she received in school. No, spankings at home were given as *pantie down* affairs. Her punishment(s) left an *impression* on her and her work ethic showed a marked improvement. -- source link
