Of course they can break the ice door, it’s ice. They’re Jedi, they’re not going to be defeated by frozen water. And Yoda is happy that Petro used his brain and called his bluff instead of just believing everything unquestioningly. (Almost like… gasp… being a Jedi is about asking questions and seeking to really learn instead of being spoon fed some rigid doctrine.) The fact that this is a bit of a ritual that every Jedi goes through and that a central part of it is that they don’t take anything at face value, that they find the logical flaws, even from trusted mentors, says a lot about how the Jedi appreciate and encourage freedom of thought. -- source link
