crayonmod:Local saloon running Novakid gets a very surprising late night patron- though they’re not exactly looking for water for drinking.A panicked explanation of MY KID IS DRYING OUT DO YOU HAVE A POOL and the equally panicked response of UHHH I HAVE A DISH WASHING BASIN later, they’ve got the unconscious, sick hylotl boy into the water and are splashing him down.Though scary, he’s okay after his skin regulates- and while his Baba has a ‘I just came down from so much adrenaline’ rest, Sandy gets bombarded with all sorts of questionsIt might be 1am but by golly this kid is UP and he’s feeling MUCH BETTER and he is CURIOUS@theamishpirate(Ember in this AU has ‘Lucky Fin’ syndrome, a condition where one half of the body is under developed. Though primarily superficial, it can effect the internal organs too, and Ember is not fully able to regulate his skin like other Hylotl, leaving him susceptible to ‘drying out’, which is extremely painful. Solo is currently travelling the stars to try and find a doctor who can cure Ember, or at least ease the symptoms because at this rate, Ember will lose his ability to exist outside of water)Super extra double special thanks to Crayon-mod for taking a few scattered design notes and a picture of a wild west bartender and making a Starbound Sandy!
