The newest addition to my collection has arrived and I must show it off :) It’s a the skull of a spotted hyena, Crocuta crocuta,cub. I don’t know the exact age and nor did the seller, but as you can see on the middle photograph, It has all its milk teeth and the permanent set is starting to show through the bone. The skull is approx. 14 cm long. I love it. Spotted hyenas are among my favourite animals and a skull has been near the top of my wishlist for some time. It’s not as stunning as an adult animal’s would be, but it’s a start ;) -- source link
