The song is based on a piano composition, which I made when I was about 14 years old, when my first relationship ended. That night I sat in front of the piano and just started pouring myself out. The chord progression in the chorus just came out instantly and that same version ended up on the final version too. After that I created the piano riff which drives the song forwards and sounds familiar even though nobody has made that riff before. Usually I get the composition ready in few days but this took a couple months because I wanted it to be perfect.I played this song to Topi many years later and he got very excited about it. The song was not meant to be released on debut album but when we made the final structure of the song we were sure that this song needs to be on WCTW. I think that production in this song turned out to be the best. The beat of the song includes for example sounds of sighs and stomps, slamming the door, opening the water tap and lighting up the lighter.The lyrics of this song are close to my heart too. My grandfather had to go to the hospital a few years back because of a broken hip. In the hospital he got a high fever and every night there was someone from the family sleeping with him but on the first night when there was nobody with him and he passed away. After that I had only though in my mind: What if? What if somebody had stayed with him that night?” -- source link
