Even though typing these words make me feel like a fragile baby chick with no feathers… Today, I’m coming out as bisexual ️. The first person I ever fell in love with was a woman, and the last person that I fell in love with was a man. Everyday I strive to accept myself in a more complete way and I’ve found that sharing the things that scare me the most has been instrumental in this process. Right now I’m safe because I’m basically living the heteronormative dream where no one is judging or trying to deny me of anything based on the gender of the person that I love. So today I’m also coming out for the people who aren’t safe. This world is still filled with too many people who believe that if I had a wife instead of a husband or if I were transgender that I would be somehow less deserving of the basic rights, dignity and respect that are afforded to me now. This is something I’ve only recently found the courage to even tell my best friend … But the moment that I did, it felt so good that I decided to share it with all of you. So many of you have been here since the beginning cheering me on as I try to live in my truth I hope that in some small way I am able to return the favor. If you’re ready and you can do it, I encourage you to live in your truth, no matter what that is or what that looks like for you! Maybe we’ll be a bunch of scared baby chicks together, but at least we’ll all be free. -- source link
