“Ronda a Ernest Hemingway,” fuera de la plaza de toros, Ronda, Málaga, 2016.Hemingway was obsessed with bullfighting, and several of his most popular novels and short stories reflect his obsession. One of his characters was based on the Ronda native and hero of the bullring Antonio Ordoñez. As the “cradle” of bullfighting in Spain, with the oldest bullring still in use, Ronda erected this monument to Hemingway in 2015.
