A Lion’s Mane Nudibranch (Melibe leonina) also known as a Hooded Nudibranch. This guy was in Port Angeles out on the Olympic Peninsula at the Feiro Marine Life Center. Local fishermen within a 20 mile radius of the Center apparently bring in wild life that is for them bycatch almost each and every day. These Nudibranch live in the eel grass beds and in the deep water kelp forests off the west coast. -- source link
