crybabydyke:Hey all! My name is Dolly. For the past three years, I’ve been struggling with chronic // late stage lyme disease (+co-infections), fibromyalgia, epstein-barr, and myalgic encephalomyelitis. Since my last relapse at the beginning of 2016, I have been getting significantly worse. I am currently bedridden a significant majority of the time and unable to work even from home. As such, I have no source of income, and I’m entirely dependent upon my mom for housing/food. We are all financially struggling, and I feel incredibly guilty to be adding on the additional expenses associated with severe chronic illness and pain.I’ve been trying to get approved for SSI for over a year now without much success. I have also been without health insurance until just recently (ie, yesterday). My first SSI application thus relied on information from doctors I had not been able to see consistently since I was seventeen and first diagnosed. I will soon be able to start seeing a neurologist and rheumatologist again. Hopefully, this will lead to improved treatment, and more thorough medical claims to help my SSI application.
