FaerieFaerie-folk encompass a diversity of corporeal and ethereal beings: elves, gnomes, goblins, magical hags, trolls, and enchanted spirits all inhabited the world of Celtic and Romance folklore. Some faeries could be relatively harmless while others were downright malicious. Scottish folklore divided the faeries into the Unseelie Court (wicked faeries who delighted in tormenting people) and the Seelie Court (those who were less possessed by ill-intent).
