“Keeper was good friends with a young firbolg girl in his village whom he tutored. She always wanted to be an adventurer, but Keeper decided the safe thing would be to read books instead. They started making their own book together as well. It was titled, “Abbey and Keeper’s Exciting Adventures!” Unfortunately, Abbey died in an accident many years ago. Keeper still has their book and learned illusion magic so that he could keep Abbey alive and pretend everything is okay. Keeper has a wizard familiar named Book who is a weasel who was originally adopted by Abbey when he was a baby, and Keeper altered the Find Familiar spell to keep him alive and bound to him. By this point in the story, Keeper has made peace with Abbey’s death, and instead of sweeping it under the rug, he and Book reminisce about the good times."
