Yesterday I went and surfed with my uncle. As we pulled up to the spot it was looking a little too shallow for my personal liking. Lots of fun looking little coral heads popping up everywhere. Carlos them seemed more than stoked and ran into the water to go get tossed on the reef. I decided to sit on the beach and watch for a while to choose where I was gonna surf. Looking down toward ehukai looked fun but was kind of a long walk or paddle. I decided to hit up some friends that I haven’t seen in a while that live nearby. My one friend answered and I walked over to his house. A bit farther of a walk then I anticipated but I didn’t care. It was nice catching up about the new things in eachothers life since the last time we saw eachother. New cars, new jobs, different people almost. I decided I wanted to catch a wave before the sun went down. I ran back to the beach and just in time. Carlos snapped this picture of me right before i jumped in the water. As I paddled out the wave that I wanted to surf was more to the left, instead of directly to sea. But the sun was also a little to left so even though I was not paddling straight out I was paddling straight into the sunset. It was a crazy phenomenon which I can’t quite explain through words. Just paddling straight towards this glowing ball thats noticeably falling into the ocean. I caught some of the best waves I’ve had in a while and actually caught up with some friends out in the water too. As we drove home the moon jump right up in front of us on the road, glowing orange. We drove back to Hauula toward the moon and I thought what an amazing planet we live on : @theartofcarlosmozo -- source link
