libutron:wire-man:So, I may have reblogged this earlier today saying it’s an Iris. It’s not. It’s a Moorea. Still part of the Iris family, but different genus. They’re from South Africa, and 80% of their natural habitat has been destroyed for wheat fields. Have have no clue what the cultivation requirements are for this species, but they look amazing.Indeed, this beautiful flower is a Moraea, specifically I think the color combination might correspond to Moraea aristata, but would need to confirm.Regarding care for cultivation, here is a link to a good page of African plants, where it could also be reviewed to identify the plant. -- source link
