chiefelk: On Monday November 12, 2012, Save Wiyabi Project hosted Native people from all Nations to participate in a film for Eve Ensler’s, “One Billion Rising” campaign/movement. The event took place at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. The film is for V-Day, which takes place on February 14, 2013. 1 in 3 women will be raped, beaten, or murdered in her lifetime. That’s one billion women. Native American women face rates of violence higher than any other ethnic group in the United States. We are part of the one billion, and we are rising.
