Golden DaysA friend on Instagram asked, ages ago, for Lancelot & Guinevere art. Here it finally is! (Artistic rambling below the cut.)Honestly, before I started reading the Arthurian Legends I wasn’t too interested in this pairing. However, after reading “The Once and Future King,” I’ve become invested in the Arthur/Guinevere/Lancelot relationship. What touched me the most was that, to the world, they had to be impersonal figureheads (King, Queen, Sir) but, with each other, they could be individuals with hopes, dreams, and emotions (Arthur, Jenny, Lance). One of the many ways I tried to show that contrast in this painting was by giving Guinevere a crown of flowers. -- source link
