cairistiona7: luvindowney: Robert Downey Jr. on the politics of Iron Man in Captain America: Civil War (x) The body language though. I want to see this in context with dialogue, because who knows, but on the surface, wow. Tony is on the edge of his chair, aggressive, possibly on the attack or at the very least physically trying to persuade Steve to accept whatever he’s saying, while Steve is leaning as far back as he can, almost defensive, almost passive. Key word “almost”. He’s listening, but he’s also quietly defiant, from the tuck of his head to the openness of his arms, even his legs spread out in a way that, if he were standing, would suggest he’s not budging–he’s doing a seated version of the quote about planting yourself by the river of truth and saying, “You move.” Whether it will prove good for him or not, his stubbornness is nearly palpable here. He looks if anything like a man biding his time, thinking of what he’ll say…and inwardly coiled like a spring ready to unleash. -- source link
