riotpunch: catbuddy: like…… a lot of the people who need bernie to win are people who literally cannot afford to take a day off of work or school on some random fucking tuesday midday to vote….. it’s a system specifically made with the rich upper class in mind to keep people in power who serve their interests… i’m so sry but i gotta drop a lil’ bit of info here. most states have absentee ballots for this very purpose, because people attend university or are serving abroad. true, the system is beyond broken. money talks. and there needs to be holidays for election days (nvm the fact they bus seniors in from senior homes). but the reality is is that it is now our country. it needs to start serving our needs. reform has to happen. change has to take place. otherwise our generation will continue to live as a servant class, living paycheck to paycheck, deeply in debt. if u cannot make it to the polls on election days, PLEASE request an absentee ballot that is sent to you. it could make the difference. let’s start defying the odds and start increasing our chances. talk is cheap but actions are what really speak. and if you’re too young to vote in this election, speak about the issues in the outside world, not just here (you’re preaching to the choir here). words can sway mountains. tl;dr: visit your state’s board of elections site and get an absentee ballot okay (also if you need election help do not hesitate to drop me a msg in my inbox. i will try my best to help clear confusion!) -- source link
