GUYS IT WAS SUCH A GOOD YEAR.My birthday is today, on New Years Eve, so this day is typically really reflective and exciting for me. I start my new lap around the sun at the same time as the planet and I’ve always enjoyed that aspect of the NYE birthday. It’s been an insane year for me. I lived in Ireland for a little bit and flew international all by my lonesome. I trained for and ran a marathon and ate terrible amounts of pizza afterwards. I started senior year and my thesis project in September and am beginning to plan for the next phase of my life. There have been periods of rest and periods of crazy and they’ve all been so lovely. After a few pretty dark years, I’ve finally enjoyed my holidays more than I have in a while, and that’s been the nicest of all. Getting older is nice. Growing up is nice. I’m a very different person than I was 4 years ago, and that’s very, very nice. I’m really, really grateful for all of the good, bad, scary, new, exciting, horrifying, weird, and unusual things that happened to me this year and I can’t wait to get started on the upcoming batch of new, scary, weird, stuff that’s waiting for me! Thank you, all of you nice human beings following me, for hanging out and sharing in my work with me. I really appreciate it and I hope you have a lovely, fruitful 2016. [Pictured: My favorite/weirdest memory from 2015 - We went out to a burlesque club in Berlin while we were there and all I can remember is a lot of bad dancing (from me) and a performer who smeared a plate of spaghetti on herself. I’m only 70% sure I didn’t imagine that.]Happy new year! -- source link
