not100bats:not100bats:there’s so much going on here and it was in the first page of results on a post that was like “i don’t know anything about steven universe but it gave a child a framework to understand that i was non-binary”. my god calm down.actually you know what I’m breaking this down.i don’t think drawing the characters from ed ed and eddie kissing is child porn. there’s the weird ratatouille comic but i was under the impression that was little more raunchy than a “goofy fucks”joke. the human zoo is… bad. it’s a bad thing. within the show. please develop media literacy.PEDOPHILIA?????????????????? WHERE????????? is this “all short people are children” from that one medium post that was like “oh by the way the creator of ren and stimpy used his position to groom a minor but GAY PEOPLE DANCED TOGETHER ON A CHILDREN’S SHOW CALL THE COPS”fusion is a fluid metaphor for relationships of all kinds, it’s never been sexual or romantic, steven fusing with his father is fineas for “sexually harassing lesbians” WHAT? there are two things that i think of: when steg used his levitation powers on pearl and she made a little surprised noise that might be kinda sexual if you squint and look really REALLY REALLY hard at it. the other one is a playful hip check on amethyst. Conclusion: this is bonkers in Yonkers man you know. people who like steven universe have got a lot of shit recently not that it’s unearned but i think we should take a moment to remember that the people who Really Hated Steven Universe were also. insane. They literally just sound like the kind of person who perceives all LGTBQ+ representation and relationships as inherently sexual. God forbid a child have a positive, close relationship with his father! God forbid adults of any kind, much less GAY adults, have any sort of relationship with youth that they’re not directly related to, because that means phedophilia! God forbid a TV show predominantly marketed towards children address mature and dark subjects like genocide and xenophobia with the appropriate gravity, which in no way condones, much less apologizes for, those things, and in fact explicitly condemns them as atrocities and bigotry (respectively). Gosh, I love it so much when people decide to justify their irrational hatred of things that they don’t like and have never even actually seen by randomly plucking the worst sins that they can think of out of a hat.
