2016, Seattle, WA when we rented a house for a wedding with 7 other people I met on The Fall of Troy message boards ten years earlier and I was so in love with this girl and just had to tell everyone about it and ended the night with a long porch talk with someone I had never met in real life but only knew through the internet and he explained how worried he was that I made rash decisions and fell in love too quickly and I told him it was so different and he couldn’t possibly understand and that I didn’t fall in love quickly and that I didn’t make rash decisions and then he laid out the history of my life since high school and I laughed as a tear went down my cheek because I realized he was completely correct and I still didn’t take his advice and continued to not take anyone’s advice until recently and now I’m all about listening to my friends because they know me more than I think and I’m all about taking their advice because they actually have something to offer and it’s a good spot to be at -- source link
