rubiwitch: Wig Cutting Tip! I’m no expert at cutting and styling wigs but this is something I’ve learnt to make the cuts in my wigs look more natural, so I thought I’d share! Experts, feel free to correct me in my terminology! Most people start off with cutting their wigs using short, horizontal snips, which result in what I call the choppy cut. It results in a very straight, even, rectangular look. Some people suggest using vertical cuts, but I haven’t really figured that out yet so my work around it is the natural cut. I move my scissors up and down while snipping, so that the ends have varied lengths which results in a more natural feel. My usual distance for the up-down moment is around 5cm/2inches but I do vary it sometimes. It’s a really simple, easy-to-pick-up way to trim your wigs! -- source link
