When I first saw this elegant New York City brownstone, the one thing that caught my eye was the lemon yellow sofa. Wow, that fireplace really works- look at the charred surround and all the wood. The sitting room is off an elegant entrance and includes an enclosed vestibule. I would love to come home to this. The beautifully detailed architectural features are still intact, as is the original flooring. However, the owners combine modern and vintage. Modern art is above the fireplace and look at the wood pallet-like sculpture leaning against the wall. The kitchen isn’t huge, but is has a wonderfully sunny bowed window area and it’s been renovated in a sleek industrial style. The magnificent master bedroom has a fireplace as every room in the homes does, is open to the outside deck and has a wonderful en suite bath, visible through and arch.A vintage claw foot tub sits on uneven old floorboards. One of the bedrooms is dedicated to a closet and dressing room. A child’s room has a gaily painted yellow striped ceiling. What was once a dreary old basement has been renovated into a modern playroom room. Isn’t this a great space redo?http://keltainentalorannalla.blogspot.com/ -- source link
