charmaineolivia: Queen’s Bath limited edition print Inspired by the naturally-occurring tide pool known as Queen’s Bath on the island of Kauai. The pool is elegantly and naturally carved into a lava shelf, on the edge of the ocean. While painting “Queen’s Bath” my thoughts lingered to the warm waters, the rush from jumping off rock cliffs into the bright, clear sea water that flows in with the tides. Then the feeling of weightlessness that comes with floating under the surface of the warm water. There is a beautiful reverence and grace about the the stillness that comes between the tides, and then chaotic ripples of splashes and currents. It’s paradise.
